Sacrosanctus

Something a little different than what I usually create:


I am a huge fan of Dogfish Head beer. I love the company, their philosophy, and of course, the ales. DFH is what drew me into the cult of craft beer. I attended Analog-a-Go-Go this past June, and have visited the brewpub a few times. Love the brewery and all the people involved, and I wanted to show my fan-dom by creating this little piece of artwork.

This is a label for a hypothetical Dogfish Head Ale called "Sacrosanctus", a combination of Latin terms meaning 'sacred/consecrated' - it is meant to be either a Quad or Belgian Strong Dark Ale. I tried to have it blend in with the styles of other DFH labels as best as I could! I tried to add some subtle touches such as a halo over the Dogfish up top, as well as the Dogfish logo on the monk's chalice.

I want to stress that I am in no way profiting from this at all. Just want to show my appreciation for my favorite company in the best way I can. I hope you enjoy - Cheers!
